Art Deco

To mark the centennial of Art Deco (1925–2025), Iksel Decorative Arts unveils a new collection of wallpapers and furnishing fabrics: Deco Champagne Harmony.
This collection draws inspiration from Jean Dunand’s 1934 creation, a palm-grove-inspired fumoir, and from a series of repeated patterns by Edgar Brandt from the 1940s. Together, they celebrate the bold elegance and decorative sophistication of the Art Deco era.
A luminous “champagne” background tone unites the collection, chosen as the signature color to embody festivity, refinement, and the spirit of a century of Art Deco.
Deco Champagne Harmony will be presented at the Iksel Decorative Arts showroom, 20 rue Bonaparte, Paris 6th, for the occasion of Maison & Objet and Paris Design Week, September 4 to 8, open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM.
We invite you to join us on Friday, September 5, from 6 to 9 PM for an evening with cocktails, in honor of Art Deco’s 100th anniversary.
Deco Champagne Harmony enriches our Art Deco collection, available to explore on our website. From Art Deco Fern to Normandie, four Scenic Decors celebrate the glamour and sophistication of the 1920s and 1930s.
Deco Champagne Harmony

Deco Forest SC166
Our new Scenic Decor Deco Forest SC166, takes inspiration from an exceptional Art Deco masterpiece by Jean Dunand (1877–1942).
In 1934, Dunand created a lacquered smoking room, conceived as a modernist palm grove. Covering some twenty square meters and soaring nearly four meters high, the room was entirely covered in shimmering geometric lacquer panels. Commissioned by Colette Aboucaya for her hôtel particulier in the Plaine Monceau, this creation remains one of Dunand’s few complete surviving interiors.
Deco Forest celebrates and reinterprets the grandeur, innovation, and craftsmanship of the Art Deco era. Subtle motifs such as sun-like spirals, zigzag lines, and rhythmic patterns evoke the trunks and fronds of stylized palms, immersing visitors in a landscape of abstraction and nature in tones of sand, silver-grey, and black.
Deco Forest is complemented by an assorted ceiling, Celestial Orbs Ceiling CE126, featuring a canopy of gold stars and orbs. It is available in 3 colorways.
Repeat Design Wallpapers & Fabrics

The Deco Champagne Harmony continues with six Repeat Design Wallpapers and two assorted Fabrics.
In this series we celebrate the work of Edgar Brandt (1880–1960), the quintessential metalworker of the Art Deco movement. His designs often combined geometric structure with stylized natural motifs such as vines, leaves, or sunbursts, expressed through rhythmic repetition and linear precision.
This visual vocabulary informs our wallpaper and textile designs, where the repeating motifs convey the elegance, strength, and modernity at the core of Art Deco.
All designs share the same cs80 Champagne background, available as wallpaper under reference GR101cs80, and, with our color+ option, a wide range of additional background colors are available for each design.
